The Red Diary by Toni Blake Review

The Red Diary by Toni Blake

Expected publication: August 28th 2012 by HarperCollins Publishers

Source: Publisher

When Nick Armstrong finds the red diary, he’s shocked…and aroused. Here, in intimate detail, prim and proper Lauren Ash records her most secret fantasies. He knows he should never read it again, but the temptation is too hard to resist. Never before has he come across anything so private—or so sensual. Never before has he found such a potent weapon for righting an old wrong.

His strategy: seduce her, make her fall in love, then break her heart. He’ll be her dream lover in the flesh, weaving an erotic spell to free the passionate woman inside her. But Lauren is casting her own tantalizing magic, forcing him to let go of the past and surrender to her body and soul.

My Review

WOW!!! Lauren and Nick did not really care for each other. Lauren thought that Nick was a bad boy type and Nick thought Lauren was a spoiled princess. Geesh, they could never have been more wrong about each other!

I loved reading Lauren’s diary entries! It really made the reader think about their own fantasies. I also enjoyed the fact that every single fantasy Lauren had ended with the guy embracing her. What woman does not want to cuddle after sex???

Nick was a sweet guy and you really see his sweet side when he is with his brother. The whole situation with his bother, his father and him was a little frightening and I am not sure if I would ever have spoken to my father again if he had done something so awful???

The ending was really sweet and it made me swoon over Nick!

In conclusion, the love story to this book was great, but the character’s actions were a little predictable. But, the sex was HOT!! So, in my opinion, it kind of evened out!!
