Her whole life flashed before me. This kiss I desired to give her would change everything-her dreams, her life with her family, her future. Innocent and trusting, she closed her eyes and tilted her chin upward in anticipation anyway. My soul protested, but I did the only thing I could-the responsible thing.
“You’ve got something on your cheek,” I said, wiping my thumb over her skin.

My Review:
Brenda Pandos has done it again! She has created a storyline that has completely sucked me in! The Mer Tales series is unlike any other that I have read and I was engrossed from the first pages.
The Characters…..
I cannot exactly say that I have one favorite character. They all seem to work perfectly together and fit very well into the story. Ashlyn, the human friend. Fin and Tatiana, the twin merfolk. Their parents, the King and his son, Azor and the court. I loved all of them! If I would have to choose just one, I would say Badger, because I love his accent…LOL.
The Romance….
All of you romantics will not be disappointed when reading. Ashlyn has two different love interests and things really get complicated…quickly! I cannot say which one that I liked more, they both seemed like really great guys, I can only say that I am happy with her choice.
In Conclusion…..
With a huge cliff hanger ending, I was left wanting more and more. I cannot wait to hear about the second book in this series and I will be the first in line to get it! Thanks Brenda for introducing me to the world of Merfolks! They are mesmerizing!
This sounds very good.
