Happy Book Birthday to Catching Jordan!

Rating: 5 stars!
What girl doesn’t want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn’t just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that’s just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there’s a new guy in town who threatens her starting position… suddenly she’s hoping he’ll see her as more than just a teammate.
Star quarterback, Captain of the football team, can play better than most of the guys….but she’s a girl!!! Rock on, you show them boys whose boss:)
Jordan is very focused. She knows what she wants to do with her life, which college she would like to attend and on the field is no different. She does not have “girl” friends, but she has a whole football team of “guy” friends and she is their leader. She is one tough cookie and does not let her guard down. She feels that in order to have respect from the team, she needs to be tough. This starts to change when Ty steps onto her field. He is the new guy and Jordan’s head turns to mush. She is surprised by the fact that she could actually be falling for him.
I absolutely LOVED Jordan. She is a great role model for teens today showing them that you can do anything as long as you work hard. I enjoyed all of her teammates and loved reading about their conversations and how protective they were of her. She really is considered just one of the guys.
I thought Sam Henry was charming…Can I say SWOON??? He just was so sweet and really an all american boy next door type. Ty was too quick to jump on Jordan. The only flaw that I had with this book was how quickly Jordan was to jump in the sack. Normally, girls that have just had their first kiss do not end up having sex just a couple of days later. But other than that, the romance was awesome!
I really enjoy books that have a strong female lead and this one did not disappoint! I am looking forward to reading the two companion novels by Ms. Kenneally, Playing Parker & Bad, Bad Thing coming to Sourcebook in 2012 & 2013.
“I love you…”
“I love you too,” I blurt
He smiles, but it’s not a happy smile-it’s like a resigned smile. “I really do love you, Woods, but I like what we have now. And if we go off to different colleges, it’ll be horrible. We’d be apart all the time. I couldn’t handle that. I’m already dreading it.”
