Forgotten by Cat Patrick & Giveaway Winner

“I can’t stay away from you,” he whispers…“Don’t stay away from me, then,” I whisper back…”

Published July 7, 2011 by Little Brown Books for Young Readers

Rating: 4 of 5 stars!

Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that’s left is a note telling her about a day she can’t remember. The whole scenario doesn’t exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can’t seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can’t make sense of, she realizes it’s time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if’s in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies.

My Review:

This book reminds me a lot of the movie 50 First Dates, which I love. The one difference is that London can see the future, she just cannot remember the past.

There is so much going on in this book that it is hard to wrap your head around it all.  London is trying to find her father, then she is having these weird cemetary dreams and she is also falling for the new boy at school.

The reader has to love Luke! It took me awhile to really figure out where he fits into the whole story, but the book finally revealed it. He is perfect for London and I love the whole back story, it was very sweet.

I am upset that this is a standalone title and believe that Ms. Patrick could definitely have a great series on her hands! The ending was left open to the reader’s imagination and I am left still having lots of questions!

“The boy in the closet is your boyfriend. He loves you and will tell you all about last night.”
