Madison Daniels has worshipped her brother’s best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can’t stop bickering.
Forced together for her brother’s wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they’re forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of “accidents” as the family tries to prove their “spark” can be used than for more than fighting. That is, if they don’t strangle each other first…
“I’ve seen you naked before, Maddie.”
Her mouth dropped open. “You have not seen me completely naked, thank you very much.”
His eyes glittered. “Actually, once before I have, when you were like five. You ran through the house buck-ass naked when you had chicken pox.”
“Oh, dear God, why do you remember these things?” She was going to drown herself, right here in the tub.”
If you have not heard of Jennifer L. Armentrout, then you must be living on another planet. She has rocked the YA world with 2 great new series. You seriously need to check them out.
In this book, JLA had decided to test her skill at the adult genre and I must say…she did a superb job! Like I expected anything less?? She has used a pseudo name of J. Lynn, but anyone that is familiar with her writing will be able to tell that she is just as skilled with adult romance as she is with YA paranormal.
Madisonhad loved her brother’s best friend from afar ever since she can remember. When her brother decides to get hitched, she ends up being the maid of honor, and whom do you think is the best man?? None other than her brother’s best friend, Chase.
The two seem to have a love/hate relationship and just cannot seem to get together. Throughout the book, there is major sexual tension and I loved every minute of it!! The book was short at only 172 pages and my interest was kept at every single one of them.
I highly suggest all of you adult romance lovers out there read this book!!! Even if you are just a fan of Ms. Armentrout’s YA series, you should check them out also. She is fastly becoming one of my favorite authors!!!
