“I won’t tell anyone, Echo. I promise.” Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. “You didn’t do that-did you? It was done to you?” No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.

So wrong for each other…and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with “freaky” scars on her arms. Even Echo can’t remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo’s world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she’ll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Review

The premise for this book was absolutely perfect! This just proves that opposites do attract!

Echo use to be the popular girl until a tragedy had taken away her title and now she is the freak of the school. Needing a job had brought her to Noah Hutchins. They come up with an elaborate plan to check out their files in the guidance office and that is when things really heat up. They soon find out that they may have more in common than they thought and maybe they could end up actually liking each other?

My favorite character is Echo. She started off as a shadow just moving about the school. Trying to stay to herself and not get noticed. After being with Noah, she really comes out of her shell and I love her courage! What happened to her was awful and honestly, I am not sure how anyone would really get over that and not end up a psych case.

I really hated Echo’s friends. All of them! They only wanted to be her friend if she was popular. They never stood up for her and called her a freak behind her back.Honestly, none of them deserved her as a friend and I just wanted to slap them all!

I can’t really say how quickly I breezed through this book. Noah was hawt and Echo was funny and snarky. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves YA!

The book ended with a bang and although the book was a tad predictable, I did not expect the ending! Looking forward to Beth’s story in the book, Dare You To, coming in 2013!

  1. Hi Misa!

Thanks for following! Yes, Beth has a story too! I can’t wait to read it. I liked the ending, it was kind of bitter sweet. You have to get your hands on it to read the rest!

  2. This is probably the tenth positive review of this book I’ve seen in the hour. This book’s seriously all over the place! I’m glad you enjoyed it – I’m hoping to get my hands on a copy, too. I read about half of it before it was archived from NetGalley, and I’ve always wanted to know what happened. An unpredictable ending? But a happy ending, right?

And wait. BETH HAS A STORY? 😀
