Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…
Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.
Something worse than the Arum has come to town…
The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we’re linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there’s this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that’s possible. Against all common sense, I’m falling for Daemon. Hard.
But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

“Oh holy alien babies everywhere!”
O. M. G. I didn’t think that I could love this book more than the first, but I was sadly mistaken. I enjoyed it as much as, if not more than the first one! Why, you ask? Two words for you…….Daemon Black! There was so much Daemon in this book and I just could not get enough of him!
Katy and Daemon are trying to just get on with life while trying to keep their secret hidden from everyone…that Daemon healed her. He is also trying to get her to admit her feelings for him and Katy’s not really ready for that yet. Her motto…deny, deny, deny! Daemon is actually really sweet in this book and he really seems like he is trying!
The incoming of a new boy at school, Flake, no…um Bill, no, that’s not right either, hmm…Bob, OH!…BLAKE!!! (read the book to get the joke…) Anyway, with the incoming of Blake, Daemon shows his jealous side and Katy tries to prove that she can be Daemon’s equal and stand beside him to fight.
With the DOD on their tail and the Arum just waiting for them to mess up and go outside of the perimeter, this book ends with a powerful bang!!! I do not want to give away any spoilers, but someone will not survive! Trust me, you will be in tears. Also, someone from the past will resurface! It could be good or bad???
If you enjoyed Obsidian, you NEED to read this book! You will not be disappointed:)
