NOW OPTIONED TO STARZ for TV!
The sexy second installment in the Inside Out erotic romance trilogy, following If I Were You—in the seductive tradition ofFifty Shades of Grey.
Fascinated by the dark fantasies in the journals she’s discovered, and the two men who have now found a place in her life, Sara McMillan finds herself torn between her new life and her past. Now, more than ever, Sara identifies with the lost journal writer, Rebecca, and is certain that something sinister has happened.
In the arms of the sexy, tormented artist Chris Merit, Sara seeks answers about Rebecca and ends up discovering things about herself she never knew existed. Chris forces Sara to reconsider who she is and what she truly wants from life, but not before his dark desires threaten to tear them apart. Her boss, Mark Compton, offers her the shelter to understand just what those needs mean to her, and what they might have meant to Rebecca, but can she trust him to lead her to a final conclusion to Rebecca’s story?
Okay….Whew! I really loved the first book in this series and was chewing *literally* all my nails off waiting patiently *sort of* for this book to come out! I counted down the days until it finally arrived on Netgalley so that I could request it!!! Thanks to Gallery Books for allowing me to read this early! Or else I would have had to wait longer!! By then, I would have had to start on my toes! EWWWWWWW!!!!!! I am just kidding!! LOL!!!
The book starts off exactly where it left us on that nasty cliffhanger. Sara is in the storage unit when the lights go out. She hears footsteps and is freaking out. No need to worry! She gets away safe and sound! Then Chris calls her and all is right with the world.
Oh Chris Merit! Can I say hawt??? He seems like such a good match for Sara. Throughout this book, he just is so sweet, still stubborn and demanding, but sweet. He tries to help Sara with anything she needs but she still has a hard time trusting him and so do I! There is just something about him that I am still not sure of. I can’t quite put my finger on it??
This book is all about finding out what happened to Rebecca which we do by the way! By the end, you will know exactly what and whom happened to poor Rebecca! But, the rest of the book focuses on Sara and Chris’s relationship. And I must say that I did need a cold shower after reading this one!!!
The ending was not really on much of a cliffhanger this time. Much different than last time but, I still can’t wait to get the next book!
Cover Reveal Time!
Book 4 in the Dirty Blood series
That’s how many hybrids survived the Hunter attack in the woods after I revived them with an injection of my blood. That’s how many followed me home to Frederick Falls. And that’s how many were now mentally linked to me through a blood bond.
Two days. Three valium. Fourteen hours of sleep.
That’s what it took to realize I wasn’t losing my mind as a result of the noise in my own head.
That’s how many days have passed since I almost killed Alex. That’s how many days I’ve sat by his bedside, waiting for him to wake up. To ease the guilt, to understand his betrayal, to remember the exact shade of brown in his eyes.
That’s my chances of skating by with Gordon Steppe and the Hunter Council. They want me for questioning. I’m afraid what’ll happen if I give them answers.
I love this series and can’t wait to read the fourth installment! I have been a Heather Hildenbrand fan girl since Across the Galaxy! If you haven’t read it, you should:)
Coming August 27, 2013!
All’s fair in love and war.
Two thirds of the world’s population has been wiped out, devastated by the worst war earth has ever seen. Still standing amongst the ruins is a mind reader who finds herself on the wrong side of the war. Everyone does what they must to survive. When the rebels bent on bringing down the New World leader start to rise up, it is her job to make sure they stay down where they belong. That is, until one rebel sneaks past her defences and into her heart. Love will blossom from the ashes, but will it be enough to save them, or will it mean the end of them both?
*This book is for mature audiences due to sexual situations, violence and strong language. NA
