Review: Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

18371078Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

My Thoughts

The ending of Opal left all of us reeling! Waiting, wanting and wishing for Origin. I had pre-ordered from Amazon which was a pretty good price, under 10 bucks! Yay me!!! Anywho, I had some other books that needed to be read BEFORE I could dive into this one, although it was very difficult not to just grab it and get absorbed in this world!

This book started exactly where it left off. Katy is with the Daedalus and Daemon’s family is trying everything to keep him from retaliating. They can try all they want, but it is not working.

The things that Katy has to go through really change her. She has a hard time with it and breaks down a few times. I was shocked at all the things that they force her to do.

Daemon was really open and honest in this book. He basically layed out all his feelings for Katy which was really sweet!

Of course, the ending was a whamo just like the last book!

This book really was amazing. I laughed, cried, feared and was in awe leaving me speechless!
