Mac can’t lose another friend. Even if he doesn’t want to be found.
The ripple effect caused by Mac’s best friend Amy’s murder has driven Mac’s new love, Kyle, to leave Hemlock and disappear from her life forever. But Mac knows that Kyle plans to enroll in a rehabilitation camp, where he can live with other werewolves. She refuses to accept his decision, especially since the camps are rumored to be tortuous. So she sets out in search of Kyle with a barely sober Jason—and Amy’s all-seeing ghost—in tow.
Clues lead Mac to find Kyle in a werewolf den in Colorado—but their reunion is cut short by a Tracker raid. Now Mac and Kyle are trapped inside the electric fences of Thornhill, a camp for young werewolves. As she devises an escape plan, Mac uncovers dangerous secrets buried within the walls of Thornhill—and realizes that the risk to the people she loves is greater than ever before.
I thought that the first book was full of action and drama! This second book makes the first look like the characters were living in Disneyland!
Thornhill picks up right where Hemlock left off. Jason & Mac are out searching for Kyle and they are going to try to convince him to come home. Jason is a bit out of sorts and is really starting to become an alcoholic. Mac is unsure whether he will help or hinder her so she calls in reinforcements….Serina! She figures that she will see if Serina can help just for a few days then if they have no luck, she would send Serina & Jason both back home on a bus and continue her search on her own. Little did she know that there were other plans in store for all of them and they find themselves behind enemy lines in an actual camp!!!
I really enjoyed Mac in this book, she was stronger than ever trying to think of any way possible to help her friends by putting herself in danger many times. We also get a few new characters which I enjoyed just as much as the others. It put a whole new spin on the story itself.
I also enjoyed the sort of love triangle going on between Mac, Jason & Kyle. I honestly am not sure which one I would like to see Mac settle with. I know her heart is with Kyle but there is just something about Jason that I truly love! The ending leaves us with a terrible twist that may just decide the trios fate for them. We shall see!!!
Waiting patiently for the next book *taps nails on the table*!
