Sometimes life takes you off course . . .

THE EDGE OF NEVER

Twenty-year-old Camryn Bennett thought she knew exactly where her life was going. But after a wild night at the hottest club in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, she shocks everyone-including herself-when she decides to leave the only life she’s ever known and set out on her own. Grabbing her purse and her cell phone, Camryn boards a Greyhound bus ready to find herself. Instead, she finds Andrew Parrish.

Sexy and exciting, Andrew lives life like there is no tomorrow. He persuades Camryn to do things she never thought she would and shows her how to give in to her deepest, most forbidden desires. Soon he becomes the center of her daring new life, pulling love and lust and emotion out of her in ways she never imagined possible. But there is more to Andrew than Camryn realizes. Will his secret push them inseparably together-or destroy them forever?

My Thoughts

“It’s not only about sadness. In truth, sadness really has little to do with it. Depression is pain in its purest form and I would do anything to be able to feel an emotion again. Any emotion at all. Pain hurts, but pain that’s so powerful that you can’t feel anything anymore, that’s when you start to feel like you’re going crazy.”

I had recently “sort of” given up on New Adult. They all just seem the same to me. This one had been on my TBR for quite awhile and so I just thought “why the hell not?” so I started it……and then kept reading……and had a really hard time doing anything else but reading……

All of you know that I really enjoy books about road trips and this one definitely DID NOT disappoint! Camryn is going through a really rough patch in her life. So she decides just to pack a bag and buy a bus ticket to anywhere. This literally had me in stitches. She purchased her bus ticket from a woman that was eating a baked potato and just decided that the signs showed that she should go to Idaho…*giggles*

On the bus is where she meets Andrew and he REALLY drives her crazy but traveling is a little better with a buddy so she sticks it out.

We get the perspective of Andrew & Camryn and I really enjoyed that. The one picked up right where the other left off.

Speaking of Andrew! *la swoon* He is a really decent guy, hot…like model hot, and is good in bed. What more could you ask for?? He is not all bad boy like some other guys that we know and love. Yes, he has a little temper, but, he is really just a normal down to earth guy. That is why I fell head over heels in love with him!

“A woman who knows what she wants sexually, and isn’t afraid to express it is so fucking hot, Camryn- Tell. Me. What. You. Want. Or, I won’t give it to you.”

Hot right? Andrew has his own issues going on in his life and I truly believe that it was fate that brought these two together! The ending left me in tears. Not the small tear trickling down your cheek when noone can tell that your crying. Oh noooo, we are talking sobbing, snot everywhere, uncontrollable breathing! I definitely needed a box of tissues for this one!

READ IT!!! I hope you love it as much as I did:)

Five months ago, Camryn and Andrew, both dealing with personal hardships, met on a Greyhound bus. They fell in love and proved that when two people are meant to be together, fate will find a way to make it happen.

Now, in the highly anticipated sequel to The Edge of Never, Camryn and Andrew are pursuing their love for music and living life to the fullest as they always swore to do. But when tragedy befalls them, their relationship is put to the ultimate test. As Camryn tries to numb her pain, Andrew makes a bold decision: To get their life back on track, they’ll set out on another cross-country road trip. Together they find excitement, passion, adventure-and challenges they never could have anticipated.

My Thoughts

“I guess sometimes the greatest memories are made in the most unlikely of places, further proof that spontaneity is more rewarding than a meticulously planned life.”

So, after reading the first book and crying like a baby. I immediately picked up this second one.

Everything is going well for Cam & Andrew and then BOOM! there is a devastating tragedy in their life and Camryn ends up back to her emotionless self again. This time it is up to Andrew to try to help her out of her funk.

“You’re the world to me,” I whisper onto
her lips. “I hope you never forget that.”
“I’ll never forget,” she whispers back.. “But if I ever do, for
whatever reason, I hope you’ll always find a way to remind me.”
…“Always.”

I still enjoyed the storyline in this second installment. Not as much as the first, but it definitely held my interest. Back on the road these too go again! Andrew puts Cam through the ringer basically and shows her a little tough love. Which she needs.

Both characters go through an emotional roller coaster and come out all the better for it.

My favorite part is the epilogue! I do not want to give anything away but I just have to tell you that YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS IT!

All in all, this was a fantastic duology! I am very much looking forward to what Ms. Redmerski will share with us in the future!

“Because this is our life. We met on the road; we grew to know and to love each other on the road. It’s where we were meant to be for however long, and it’s what we’re going to do until it becomes clear that we’re meant to do something else.”
