SUMMARY:
Determined to move on with her life, Olivia Germaine has vowed to forget David Dylan. Struggling to keep her head above water, she focuses on her new promotion and refuses to drown in the memory of their night together. But when Olivia realizes what life without David means, she must decide if she is willing to risk everything for him . . . and if she is ready to reopen the wounds of her past. Can Olivia move forward with her marriage despite her feelings for David? And can David stay away like he promised?

MY THOUGHTS:
Olivia is struggling with moving on post tryst with sexy David Dylan. Trying to overcome guilt, making every effort to close the distance with her hubby it is evident Olivia is in agony. She is severely depressed and withdrawn, clearly unhappy. I’m not condoning Olivia’s behavior but I do empathize with her struggle. Hawkins really emphasizes Olivia’s state of mind showing how torn she is and how her guilt consumes her. Honestly, it is difficult to dislike Olivia, she had no intention of straying. Such a shame she entered a marriage that wasn’t the right fit, obviously doomed from the start. Great characterization of all three parties by Hawkins, very well done.

The story hits an apex and REALLY gets exciting. I don’t want to go into details and ruin it for you, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

As I have mentioned before, I’m not one to take to series/trilogies but Hawkins did a great job with Olivia and her struggles, a love triangle is never easy but this particular triangle has a bit of body and zest. I’m happy the emotional angle was explored, too many people with vested interests not to have some sort of intense emotional upheaval. Olivia is not callus and is in a situation clearly not premeditated and certainly poses difficulty on all levels.

The cliffhanger ending is superb, make sure you have book 3 Come Together handy – you won’t want to miss the ensuing drama between this intricate triangle.

I am looking forward to see how Hawkins resolves Olivia and what will happen in the end. No doubt book 3 Come Together should be very interesting, looking forward to seeing what is ahead for all three parties.
