Review: Chasing Butterflies by Terri E. Laine

Chasing ButterfliesChasing Butterflies by Terri E. Laine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just reading this book gave me butterflies!

OMG! I cannot express how much I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!! Usually in my experience, I can usually tell what is going to happen next or where the book is leading, but oh boy, this one was a complete surprise!!! Those are the books a reader tends to love and those are the books that tend to stay with them forever!

The beginning of this book started off slow for me. The book is in two parts which shows you both how the characters met and their back story before getting into all the grit of what is happening now.

I wasn’t real sure of Kelley at first, he seemed like a complete *ss! But, he quickly grew on me! I felt so bad for all that he had to endure which made me shed a tear or two.

I loved Lenora from the start! I loved her snarky attitude but I have to say that I despised her parents. Sorry but when you are a parent, you do anything in your power for your children, NOT PUT THEM THROUGH THAT!!! I must say that I was completely baffled with the change in Lenora! I figured there had to be a reason why she did a complete 180 but I could not figure it out until it fell in my lap. *smacks forehead* Duh! Why didn’t I think of that, of course! *shakes head* When she was going through all the torment, it literally made me cry.

If you are looking for a gritty, NA read with a tad bit of a dark twist, then this is the book for you!! I really enjoyed it! As you can see, I had a lot to say about it too!! Lol!

*This book is for readers 17+. It contains language and content not suitable for children*
