My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book was a sweet “end of life” tail which kind of reminded me of The Fault in Our Stars or A Walk to Remember.
Leah is kind of in a funk with her life. She is unsure about her major and is not sure about continuing on. Then the unthinkable happens….She gets a new neighbor and unbelievably…it’s her old BFF, Damon.
I have to say that I enjoyed the premise of this book but some of the scenarios were just a tad on the corny side and could be very predictable.
Damon was given 1 year to live but there was not much discussion about his illness.
I did enjoy the characters traveling to different places and the sweetness of their love affair. I enjoyed the idea of a bucket list and the fact that they did everything together, it wasn’t just one sided since Damon was the one dying. Leah was able to share in the enjoyment.
If you are searching for a sappy tear jerker, then you have found your next read! Even through it’s predictability, I would still recommend this read!
