1. Best Book You Read In 2017?

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. I can’t really explain it without giving spoilers, but it’s amazing and I highly recommend it.

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?

Most surprising in a good way, was Hal Jordan and the Green Lanterns it was the first time I read anything about the Green Lanterns and now I’m pretty much obsessed.

4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?

The Mercy Thompson Series, it’s my all-time favorite series and it’s my goal to get as many people possible to read it.

5. Best series you started in 2017? Best Sequel of 2017? Best Series Ender of 2017?

I haven’t read any series this year except for comics books, DC Comics rebooted their universe so I started quite a bit, and not many of them I’ve loved. But Hal Jordan and the Green Lanterns, Teen Titans, and Suicide Squad I like the most.

6. Favorite new author, you discovered in 2017?

Upile Chisala. She wrote this amazing collection of poetry that I read at the beginning of the year and it stayed with me all year long. She’s amazing and I can’t wait to read more!!

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?

I didn’t read anything out of my comfort zone. Idk if I even have a comfort zone honestly, I will read anything.

8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?

Red Hood and the Outlaws, Vol. 1: Dark Trinity by Scott Lobdell

9. Book You Read In 2017 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year?

The Closed Doors by Pauline Albanese. Which was a re-telling of the Persephone myth.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2017?

City of Saints & Thieves by Natalie C. Anderson. Absolutely gorgeous!!

11. Most memorable character of 2017?

A Minha Mae from A Mercy by Toni Morrison. Her words have stuck with me, I don’t think I will ever forget her.

12. Most beautifully written book read in 2017?

The Flowering Woman: Becoming & Being by Q. Gibson

Soft Magic by Upile Chisala

13. Most Thought-Provoking/ Life-Changing Book of 2017?

A Mercy by Toni Morrison. I can’t it say it enough IT’S AMAZING!

Also, I wrote a fifteen page paper on this book alone.

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2017 to finally read?

Nothing, lol

When it comes to TV tho… Creeley Turner from Damnation has my heart.
