The Cookie Book Tag

I WAS TAGGED!!! I am so super excited because this is my first tag that I was actually tagged for:) I was tagged by the awesome Andie over at Andrea’s Nirvana. If you are not familiar with Andie, hop on over to her blog and say “hey” and thank you Andie for tagging me for this awesome tag!

So here we go….

The Rules

  • In addition to linking back to the person who tagged you, it would be awesome if you link back to Nicole’s original post!
  • Pick a book that corresponds to the cookie’s ‘theme’.
  • Have fun!
  • Tag one to three people.

The Books

Chocolate Chip | A Classic Book That You Love or Really Enjoyed

Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare

I am actually not a big classics fan but I have recently added The Picture of Dorian Gray to my TBR since someone suggested it. Honestly, this was the only book that I remember reading in high school that I enjoyed.

Thin Mints | A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ and/or a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read

The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

I have yet to read the series. *cringes* I am not sure if I would even like them and they just did not seem to interest me but I am secretly jealous of the fandom that surrounds these books and sometimes feel like I am missing out on this huge inside secret. Maybe I will get to them some day? *shrugs*

Shortbread | An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of

Jennifer L Armentrout

This was an easy one! I enjoy every. single. book that she writes and cannot get enough of them! I have to say though that she writes SO much that I have not completed every book but am definitely up for the challenge! Oooh! Idea…I may have to take a month and just catch up on everything that I have not read yet!!!

Oreos | A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover

The Wonder Bread Summer by Jessica Anya Blau

I adore the cover to this book. I think it is just really retro looking but the story behind the cover…Blech! I could not stand the story line, it was just way too crazy for me and I ended up DNFing it:(

Tagalongs / Peanut Butter Patties | A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected

The Initiation by Chris Babu

This book really surprised me! I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. First of all, I am not real big on male leads but this one was written really well and the action kept up the whole way through so I never got bored.

Snickerdoodles | A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving

beautiful disaster 2

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

I know this book was hugely controversial back in it’s hay day but I so freakin love it and always will! I have probably read it like 8 times and never get bored. Whenever I am in a reading slump, I will pull it out and read it in it’s entirety and fall in love with that crazy Maddox all over again!

And the nominees are…..

I nominate the following: Amber, Destiny, and Loretta, AND YOU!!! If you do take the challenge to do this tag, please come on back here and post your link! I would love to read them and hey…no pressure, if you cannot get to the tag…no problem, maybe next time!

Thanks again to Andie! Seriously guys, go check her out!

So tell me? Do you agree with any of my choices? Disagree? What would you choose for each category??

  1. Oooh this sounds like fun and I love me some cookies 😉 Lol. I actually haven’t read any of these books… no, that’s a lie. I did read Romeo & Juliet in high school too (didn’t enjoy it) and I also read Half Blood by JLA. I also didn’t enjoy that one as much as I thought I would which is surprising because you know how much I love mythology! But I just found that it was way too similar to Vampire Academy and I could not get over it! But I definitely do want to read more JLA books because I know how much everyone loves her books!

    1. The first book in the half blood series did remind me A LOT of VA! I almost stopped reading too but halfway through, it does seem to go off course and the series turns out to be entirely different. You should give it a try again!
