Welcome to the Need Blog Tour!

FYI, This series is an adult series and can contain strong sexual content!

I want to take this time to review both books in the series!

Stephan has lived the lifestyle of a Dominant for five years. After several rebellious teenage years, it gave him the stability and control he had been seeking after his parent’s death.

As president of a not-for-profit foundation, he knows what his future holds and what he wants out of life. All that changes when a simple lunch with his college friend and Mentor, Darren, leads him to buying a slave.

Thrust into a situation he never thought he’d be in, Stephan can’t walk away. He is compelled to help this girl in the only way he knows how.

Brianna knows only one thing, she is a slave. She has nothing. She is nothing.

Can Stephan help Brianna realize that she is much more than just a Slave?

Heather’s Review

Stephan is a sweet heart and I really enjoyed his POV. It was nice to see that he was rough and tough on the outside, but, really a teddy bear on the inside. I liked that he could have turned a blind eye on Bri, but decided that she needed help.

I felt so bad for Bri. It was a little rough to read specifics about what had happened to her. I was almost brought to tears quite a few times. It is hard to see her so tormented and the reader wanders what she may have been like prior to becoming involved in this lifestyle?

I have not read many books about subs/doms, but this one is actually one of my favorites even though there is no sex. This book is classified as erotica, but, there is absolutely no sex. It is hinted at and there are some explanations as to what had happened with Bri, but, not many.

Juls Review

At first i was really turned off by the fact that the lead female was 18.  i like my couple to be age appropriate 25-40 ish range.  but the more i read the more i enjoyed it.  It was so much more than about sex, which there isnt any but more about healing and love and acceptance.

very pleasantly surprised for sure.  The ending was very abrupt and finding out that theres a book 2 made me understand the ending or lack there of a bit better.

As Brianna comes to terms with the realization that she is no longer a slave, she must figure out what she wants for her life. Forgetting her past isn’t an option. It is an integral part of who she is now, and it will forever shape her view of life. The one thing she knows is that she cannot imagine her life without the man who saved her, but can she be what he needs?

Stephan never imagined falling in love with the woman he rescued, but the thought of her no longer being part of his life is physically painful. The scars from her past continue to haunt her, and he is helpless to stop them. All he can do is try to help her work through the traumas of her past. Can he be everything she needs and help her move on?

The two must figure out how to navigate not only their relationship with each other, but also the outside world. A friend from Brianna’s past shows up where she least expects them, and Uncle Richard continues to enforce his well-meaning agenda to get Brianna more traditional help. As forces, both friend and foe, threaten to tear them apart, Stephan and Brianna have to navigate the turbulent waters and find what they need in each other.

Heather’s Review

I was pleasantly surprised by the little added bonus of some sexual content in this book. I enjoyed all the interactions between Bri and Stephan.

Stephan is trying to be all that Bri needs and his feelings seem to be getting a jumbled mess. Bri is still working on how to act and the two keep working on their emotional relationship as well as the sexual one.

Stephan was very gentle with Bri in this book and I love all the gentleness between the two, but really want to see some sweaty passion! LOL

With the cliffhanger ending, I am sure that the third book in the series is going to be full of twists and turns!

Juls Review

Brianna was severely broken, body mind and soul.  Need takes you on a journey of how Stephen, an amazing man who has the patience of a saint, took all his time and energy to slowly bring Brianna back to herself.

Stephen didn’t want her to burrow into her shell so he would take her out in public as much as possible.   There were some incidents that could have been prevented but those moments showed Stephen what really happened to Brianna during her time with Ian.  Ian was truly an evil man.

Stephen knows it’s not going to happen overnight but with every kiss and every touch, small or big, brings Brianna back to who she was before she was taken.

I can’t really say there were fireworks when they finally came together because really their love making was way more than that.  It was more than beautiful, it went beyond that.

I was pleasantly surprised by the end.  I didn’t think there was going to be another book.  I can’t wait to find out more about Brianna and her past.

How does a girl choose between the one who steals her heart and the one who owns her soul?

Matt and Emily were created for a specific job. Raised and trained as the ultimate angel/warrior team, they are sent down to save, defend, judge and forgive, depending on the ‘life’ they’ve been assigned. What they don’t realize is that the power of human emotions, such as love, anger, passion and fear can take over even the best of souls, causing them to make mistakes and follow paths that lead to confusion and heartache.

When the reason for their training is finally revealed, the angel/warrior team find themselves thrust into a world they know nothing about. Matt takes over the life of Daniel, a young man with a great deal of baggage. Emily becomes Liz, a girl living in a remote village who relies on nothing more than her own strength to survive. A violent storm erupts one night, and framed in the window of Liz’s establishment is a frightening face. Let in by the soul of a Good Samaritan, the two visitors bring with them a past full of secrets that could literally change an angel’s path and a warrior’s plans.

From murder to redemption, this angel/warrior team must find a way to keep the faith they have in each other in a world that’s ripping them apart.

Review

Someday I know that I’ll have to choose between the one I was made for and the one I made a promise to down there… but not today. “You already know I love you,” I answer. “I’ve said that to you since we were ten-years-old.”

The start of this book was amazing! The prologue captured my attention and had me wondering what else could be in store for the reader.

Amy Lignor has created a new take on your typical angels. I enjoyed the characters the most. They were well-developed, quirky and interesting. At times, the book did get confusing with the characters jumping back and forth between heaven and earth, but it did not deter me from reading. I enjoyed the fact that most of the book took place in the 1800s, but it kind of felt like it was taking place in modern times instead.

I must gush on the cover for a moment. It is absolutely gorgeous and intriguing.  The cracks make an interesting impact and make it seem kind of spooky!

Overall, I would recommend this book to any paranormal & angel lover. This is just book 1 in the series, no word yet as to book two, but I will keep my eye out for it. That is why I give this book 4 good nite kisses!

*Special thanks to Tribute Books and Ms. Lignor for allowing me a spot on this tour!

We know you are here, our brothers and sisters . . .
Pressia barely remembers the Detonations or much about life during the Before. In her sleeping cabinet behind the rubble of an old barbershop where she lives with her grandfather, she thinks about what is lost-how the world went from amusement parks, movie theaters, birthday parties, fathers and mothers . . . to ash and dust, scars, permanent burns, and fused, damaged bodies. And now, at an age when everyone is required to turn themselves over to the militia to either be trained as a soldier or, if they are too damaged and weak, to be used as live targets, Pressia can no longer pretend to be small. Pressia is on the run.

Burn a Pure and Breathe the Ash . . .
There are those who escaped the apocalypse unmarked. Pures. They are tucked safely inside the Dome that protects their healthy, superior bodies. Yet Partridge, whose father is one of the most influential men in the Dome, feels isolated and lonely. Different. He thinks about loss-maybe just because his family is broken; his father is emotionally distant; his brother killed himself; and his mother never made it inside their shelter. Or maybe it’s his claustrophobia: his feeling that this Dome has become a swaddling of intensely rigid order. So when a slipped phrase suggests his mother might still be alive, Partridge risks his life to leave the Dome to find her.

When Pressia meets Partridge, their worlds shatter all over again.

“Beauty, you can find it here if you look hard enough.”

Review

I had read Diana’s review and was not sure if I would even enjoy this book. The blurb sounded really interesting and when I was offered an audio book copy, I wanted to give it a shot. I am so glad that I did!

Sometimes, I believe that the audiobook is better than the actual book and this may be the case with this particular book. I really enjoyed the fact that there were four different narrators! Khristine HvamJoshua SwansonKevin T. Collins and we all know my favorite… Casey Holloway. This made it easy to distinguish between the different characters and it also helped the many characters come to life by having a different voice for each of them.

The story itself is very sad as these characters literally fight for their lives. The destruction that was left from the detonations was devastating and I cannot imagine having the strength to survive in their world.

The Characters…..

Pressia– She is a very strong young lady, I do not think she even realizes how strong she is. I really enjoyed her and how she started off very innocent and ended up being a tough little cookie!

Partridge– I really enjoyed him and loved the fact that he took a chance in what he believed was right. He went against his own father to stand up for his friends/family.

Bradwell– He would have to be my favorite character from the book. He is all bad boy and never believed anything that came from the dome. He is tough, trustworthy and really has a thing for Pressia. He kind of made my heart pitter patter at the end.

El Capitan/Helmut– I am still not quite sure of these two characters. At one point, I wanted to trust both of them, but I still think that there is an underlying agenda with these two.

I honestly thought this was a standalone book, until I reached the end and heard “End of book one”. Fuse is due to be released sometime this year and you can bet on my reading it! This book was filled with a lot of gore, but was a wonderful and interesting story.

Back of the Book
What eighteen year old Mac Thorne doesn’t know will probably kill her.

In exactly eight months, five days, three hours and thirteen minutes, Mac has to choose what she’ll be for the rest of her life.

She has no choice but to pick. As a Changeling, it’s her birthright. To Mac, it’s a birthchore. Like going to school with humans, interacting with humans, and pretending to be human during the pesky daylight hours.

Once darkness descends, Mac can change into any supernatural form that exists — which makes her as happy as she can be. That is, until Winn Thomas, the biggest geek in her senior class figures out there’s more to what hides in the dark than most are willing to acknowledge.

In this first of the 19th Year Trilogy, Winn might know more about Mac than even she does, and that knowledge could end their lives, unless Mac ensures the powers-that-be have no choice but to keep him around.

There is need. And then there is Fate…

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn’t exactly awesome–especially when Alexandria’s “other half” is everywhere she goes. Seth’s in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom–so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do–and sacrifice–for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies–lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon… and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn’t blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude… or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

“I guess there were two types of people in the world, those who sat around a fire, staring into the flames, and those who started the fire.
Seth and I started the fire, and then we danced around it.”

Review

Oh. My. Gods! This book was even better than the first.

This book concentrated more on Seth and Alex trying to come together and cope with sharing the same destiny. I have got to say that I fell head over heels for Seth! He was awesome, sweet, kind and really loving towards Alex. Her heart still lies with Aiden, BUT…. could there possibly be some chemistry between the two??? One never knows!!!

Read the book to find out!!!

Aiden was trying his hardest to stay distant from Alex, but we all know how that works. I did get very angry with him from time to time with all that Alex had to put up with from him.

“Ever since I’ve met you, I’ve wanted to break every rule.” Aiden turned away, the muscles in his neck tensing. He sighed. “You’ll become the center
of someone’s world one day. And he’ll be the luckiest son of a bitch on this earth.”

Alex, of course is her same old snarky self. She still finds tons of trouble and has a high chance of being kicked out of school. Sometimes, I had to laugh at the decisions she made..”What exactly was she thinking?” *Shakes head* It doesn’t take long to figure out that someone is trying to sabotage her and that is when the book really gets interesting!

The ending left the reader with quite a shocker and wanting the next book immediately! The build up throughout the book was perfect and the “explosion” at the end left me with my heart racing and actually sweating!

Excerpt

The source of my absolute failure leaned against the training room wall. Dark waves tumbled over his forehead, falling into gunmetal gray eyes. Some would say Aiden St. Delphi needed a haircut, but I loved the wilder look he’d been favoring recently.

An instant later, our gazes locked. Aiden returned to the stance I was all too familiar with–well-defined arms crossed over his chest, legs widespread. Watching, always watching. Now he communicated a look that said I should be paying attention to Jackson and not him.

Tight coils sprung within me–another thing I’d grown accustomed to.
