My Thoughts:
I was a little hesitant to read this book but as most of you already know, I love books that deal with really taboo issues and this one really had my interest from the blurb.
I had always heard stories of runaways that had turned to prostitution but had never realized what would happen if one decided to come back home and try to fit into their old life. Of course it would be difficult after all that they had been through but I never realized how difficult.
This book opened my eyes to all of these questions. I am not sure if the author had interviewed people that had been through this predicament or not but it seemed pretty spot on to me!
I really liked Anna and absolutely understood the reason why she left in the first place. Her father was down right horrible and I had wished that her mother was a tad bit stronger for her. I was secretly glad in the beginning when she was given to the police hoping that her life could change for the better.
There were a few tears shed during the course of this book! I just felt so sorry and sad for Anna that she was trying to do better and be better but the bullies kept putting her down.
I loved the ending! I honestly thought it was perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! On another note, I need to comment on the cover and state how perfect for the book it really is!

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.
Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade.
Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.
Everything is going to change.

Review copies for the Read Along were given by the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
Discussion #1 Chapters 13-26
We are still getting to know the other kids in the glade and kind of getting use to being here. Thomas gets to see what happens when someone gets cast out and that was a little tough to read:( There is NO WAY that I would be able to stand by and let that happen especially if they started crying!
Now the book seems to be getting really interesting! Thomas risks his life to save Albi and he is finally being noticed as something other than a “Greenie”.
The end of Chapter 26 kind of left me on a tad bit of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to start on Chapter 27!

The Unforgiven by Lauren Kate
To be released on November 10, 2015 by Delacorte Press
It’s the book FALLEN fans have been waiting for: Cam’s story, the brooding, bad-boy dark angel readers love.
High school can be hell.
Cam knows what it’s like to be haunted. He’s spent more time in Hell than any angel ever should. And his freshest Hell is high school, where Lilith, the girl he can’t stop loving, is serving out a punishment for his crimes.
Cam made a bet with Lucifer: he has fifteen days to convince the only girl who really matters to him to love him again. If he succeeds, Lilith will be allowed back into the world, and they can live their lives together. But if he fails…there’s a special place in Hell just for him.
Tick-tock.
Spread your wings and cry as bad boy dark angel Cam finally reveals his anguished heart in the epic new FALLEN novel, UNFORGIVEN.
I really enjoyed the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. I know it had some mixed reviews and I loved the whole series so I am extremely excited to be getting this fifth book!!!
Hmmm, the cover was what made me hesitate because it looked like an erotica book to me but thanks for a thoughtful review. 🙂
